When will it end!
The Columbus, Ohio fire department recently invested in 18 new stretchers that can carry patients weighing up to 650 pounds. But they're
still not sturdy enough. At least twice a month, officials say, paramedics have to transport patients weighing more than 650
pounds. The city may now buy $10,000 stretchers that can accommodate loads up to 1,000 pounds.

TWICE a month?!!! They transport at least 2 people who weigh more than 650 pounds every single month? Jenny Craig, Nutrisystem, I don't know
what, but weight is a freakin' epidemic in this country!
I was looking at Oprah (yeah, her ) yesterday (or the day before) and people who had lost up to 500
WHOOPING pounds were talking about how now they're lost the weight, they no longer have high blood pressure, diabetes, all sorts of death-inducing
conditions (as opposed to illnesses). All because they lost the weight.
Incidentally, none of them had gastric by-passes (even the woman who lost 530 pounds). They all did it through "life-change" diet and exercise.
