Women and child support...

good-afternoon everyone,

What's your opinion of women who do not pursue it?

What do you assume when you hear of such a woman?

sincerely,

Some women get tired of chasing a worthless ni*gga through the court system. If they have full custody, some don't even bother.Sometimes doing a single parent bit is more easier. The sweet thing about that is the father doesn't have any imput on raising the child. How could he when his ass does not contribute time or money?.....My son's mom and may have had our differences. But she could never say I didn't pay total child support or spend time with our son.She never had to drag me anywhere for that.

From what I hear, the child support process is long and tiring with loads of paperwork, back and forth to court, DNA tests, etc. The women who are NOT receiving support would probably much rather do it on their own then to go through all of that drama.

Then there are some women who don't have to pursue cs because the father of their child(ren) does his part- as he should. :okaaay:

Really!? There's plenty of women who'd much rather NOT go through the headache.

I have a gf who's a principal at a HS in NC who's doing really well for herself.

She has 2 children by a bumb who works at KFC (yes, KFC!!) Anyhoo, he doesn't do anything for the children, at all! She said she's not wasting her time because she'll probably get like $50-$100 per month and it's not worth it to her. I agree!

I know of several women like this and they have no need to pursue it because the fathers are mature and responsible...

They either figure the guy is a bum and they won't get it anyway, or he has nothing to give so why go through the hassle, or they can do it on their own.
It's a shame a woman should have to go after a man for CS. He should do it anyway.

I can speak as a working, single mother who hasn't filed for child support and has no plans to do so. Bottom line, my son's father is aware that he has a 2 year old that he has never done a thing for, so I don't feel that I need to tell a "supposedly" grown man to take care of his child. He is making the waters rough for himself in that my son will grow up knowing that his mother worked her ass off to make sure that every opportunity was afforded to him and that he was well taken care of....he'll know for himself that his father wasn't sh*t...I don't need to tell him that. While my son's father does put forth the effort to call, he doesn't put forth the effort to put a little change in the pot........sorry, loving him is not enough, but then, that's the seed that he made the choice to sow.....I'll tell you like I told him, "I will sell my a$$ on the corner...do a little something strange for a little change....make you holla for a dollar....before I ask that S.O.B. for one red cent." I make a very good living, so my son will not suffer from the poor excuse of a man who's supposed to be a father. My son's father has even commented on the amount of money that I make, the size of my home and the car that I drive as if that were an excuse for him not to do his part. Some may say that I'm cheating myself and my son...some may call me stupid....some may advise me to MAKE him pay.....I say no to it all, because he's MY son and I'll do what I have to do to make sure that he's taken care of.

I say let the poor excuse for a man be the poor excuse for a man he is. Good for you!
If you have to beg a man to do what he ought to do, he is not a man to begin with and you should not have to.
Hopefully your son will grow up knowing what it means to take care and cherish what is a part of you regardless, and he will be a better man.

Years ago I pushed my friend to pursue it. Only because she kept coming to me for money when she ran low and I had to be real with her and tell her that they weren't my kids and she needed to go after the father. He had threatened her - telling her she better not ever take him to court. She was afraid even after she left the state. After I convinced her to do it, she got the money she needed - and the threats were just him talking out the side of his neck. She jokingly told me a few weeks ago that she's still getting the money even tho the children are both in college. She got it locked down so that he'll have to continue to support them until they graduate.

If it was me, I would have taken care of my child solo, but he would have lost all privileges. Since she couldn't afford to do it, and she was hitting up all her friends, the best course of action in her case was to take his tryfling azz to court.

You should not have to make a man nor ask him to take care of his child.
