How often are you Solo on Saturday night?
Tea_Honey - 10.28.2009 at 10:29 PM

Saw this poll in Glamour Magazine. Turned out almost 51% of Glamour readers average ZERO dates/month.

What about you?

What, are you TRYING to depress me? yeah, I stay home a lot. Every other Saturday, in other words "payday - hang out w/ friends day" but, there's rarely anyone of the opposite sex.

I stay home a lot too. In the summer, sure I'm out and about going to picnics and bbqs, fests...but mostly with my girls or family.

But aside from the summer shindings (cause when you live in a four season climate, you don't let summer slip by), especially while single, I'm chilling solo. But...I also like my own company and most times pefer it that way.

It's rare. I can usually find something to do and someone to do it with...lately I've been home during the weekends, and my @ home friends aren't the going out type...but when I'm up in the bay area I know some guys who like to go out for drinks and whatnot. It's cool.

I go out a lot, but it's mostly hanging with my friends. We hit events often - be they movies, plays, group dinners. Dates with a man - not as much. The last man date I went on was months ago when I was dating this (blank) - I'm trying to stop calling him names

I rarely do anything Saturday nights. Recently, I've enacted a "no club" policy so that covers that. I'm in a new city so I don't have a road dawg yet and the people I already knew are either flakey, party poopers or outside of my specific demographic. And I seem not to be dating.:ummm:

deep_thinker - 10.29.2009 at 12:56 PM

Its very rare that I'm alone and have no plans on a Saturday night, thankfully my life is experiencing an upswing. Most of my Saturdays (and their accompanying nights) are spent at my *other* home, or if we're not home we're out, usually shopping or eating, or eating after we finish shopping.

I actually don't get to see much of my apartment these days, makes me wonder why I pay rent there at all. :dunno: But now I just sound like I'm bragging.

;)

I am so busy that I am lucky to squeeze in a date twice a month with my s/o....due to our conflicting work and school schedules.

I tend to date myself most times over the weekend or spend sometime with my daughter, family, or friends on Saturdays...

I rarely stay home idle on a Saturday...

PassaFist - 10.29.2009 at 05:52 PM

Rarely....

I like to eat at 4 & 5 star restaurants and NOT alone. It's ALWAYS easy to find a date who wants to join me for a nice meal, conversation & a cozy evening for two.

Mention the "food mills" like Ruth Chris or Morton's and the easily bite. But then take them to Restaurant Eve, CityZen or Citronelle and they won't stop blowing up your phone.

Back to my place? HELL NAW....Stalker!

Not often..not with 7 kids in the house...Honestly..some weekends..Hubs may be out playing pool with my Brother and their friends at the Billiard Hall...but still...with the kids at home...2 cats...2 dogs...1 huge "aquarium" fish tank..and middle niecey's turtle.."Spots" and her lil canary " Tweets"...

nope...rare to never home...alone...

**gulp*** and sometimes..yeah..I wish i could be....lol...sometimes miss my solitude...no noise single days...

During the semester I'm studying most of the time. I figure if I work harder than everyone else then it'll be that much better for me in the long run. I can worry about going out after I get a PHD.

JrHagler - 11.2.2009 at 01:54 PM

I work on weekends.....and most of the women i meet...have weekends off.
But I manage....

Go to PT's here in the neighborhood.....half off everything between midnight and 4 am.
(including the women)

Dutchess - 11.3.2009 at 02:19 PM

My Saturdays have been the dullest for a very long time, I mean years. Babysitting the kids, devoting my entire weekends to them had become tired, even tho I love them dearly.

I knew I had to do something, so I got back into the MK business, forgotten how much fun it can be. I've been at the Bayfront Sheraton Hotel every Saturday all day.up until 9, Getting out and about has given me a second wind.

Starting to think about dating again.

:mj: ole girls gonna be dancin, dancin, dancin, like a dancin machine. Coming out of my shell, looking and feeling totally rejuvenated. What was the question?

Maybe Dana and Yvette will let Brown escort me out for a night on the town :mj: yea right, Jk

BrownBomber - 11.3.2009 at 09:09 PM

For two years following a rough breakup,I spent all of those Saturday nights alone with my two cats, some popcorn and lots of cable. It was no big deal then nor is it a big deal now.
